Baja Wellness Retreat — November 8–13, 2026
You've been taking care of everything. Now it's your turn.
San José del Cabo, Mexico · Hotel El Ganzo
Five nights. Six days. Nine yoga sessions. Sound healing. Curated excursions. Intentional programming. Daily breakfast, lunch vouchers, welcome and farewell dinners. All of it — designed for you.
Who This Is For
The high-achiever running on empty
You've been giving everything to everyone. Your calendar is full. You are not.
Someone standing at a threshold
A transition. A decision. A new chapter you haven't quite named yet. You need space to think — and feel.
Ready to invest in yourself — not just spend
You understand the difference between a holiday and a reset. You want both, and you want them to mean something.
Curious about yoga — or deepening your practice
All levels welcome. This is not a yoga retreat for yogis — it's a life retreat that includes yoga.
Travelling alone and ready to connect
Or coming with a partner, a friend, or someone you love. Either way — you belong here.
Who This Is Not For
Anyone looking for a party
Cabo has that. This isn't it. We're here for depth, not distraction.
Guests who want a passive all-inclusive experience
There is structure here. Intention. You'll be gently asked to show up — to the mat, the group, and yourself.
People not yet ready to slow down
There's no agenda to push through here. If stillness makes you uncomfortable, it might — and that's actually a sign you need this. But you have to want it.
Anyone expecting perfection
This is a human experience, held by a human host. It will be beautiful. It will also be real. We wouldn't have it any other way.
The Setting
Hotel El Ganzo is no ordinary hotel. A certified B Corporation and one of Baja's most celebrated boutique hotels, El Ganzo is built on the philosophy that business can be a force for good — for its guests, its community, and the natural world that surrounds it. Nestled at the marina in San José del Cabo, its rooftop yoga deck, world-class spa, artist residency, and underground recording studio create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else on earth.
Your room is a sanctuary. Juliet glass doors open to the sea and the organic buzz of the marina below — floor-to-ceiling light, curated design, and the warm stillness of the Baja air. Time to simply be.
Thoughtfully designed suites with ocean or marina views, refined finishes, and everything you need to rest deeply.
El Ganzo meets the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance — your stay does good.
Bali daybeds, panoramic views, and the kind of stillness that makes you forget what day it is.
Complimentary boat transfers to El Ganzo's private beach club on the Sea of Cortez — yours to enjoy at your own pace.
Morning practice above the rooftops of Cabo, with the sea stretching endlessly to the horizon.
Unstructured afternoons are yours — the spa, pool, and beach are all waiting, entirely on your terms.

Giving Back
We believe wellness is not a luxury reserved for the few. As part of our commitment to San José del Cabo, Baja Wellness Retreat gives back to the community that welcomes us — in two tangible ways.
Alongside our retreat programming, we open yoga classes to local community members — free of charge. Movement, breath, and stillness are for everyone. This is our way of showing up for the place that holds us.
Every dollar from our Wednesday hands-on locally curated workshop at La Playa Centro Comunitario goes directly back to the centre — supporting the programs, people, and mission that Pamela Cruz and her team have built for the San José del Cabo community.

Your Host & Experience Team
Retreat Host & Lead Facilitator
With 15 years of certified yoga teaching experience and a background spanning international hospitality, wellness facilitation, and executive support, Sarah created Baja Wellness Retreat as a convergence of everything she believes in. She holds a BC Rental Property Management license, is pursuing her CAPM certification, and has led thousands of yoga classes at YYoga Vancouver and across the world. At Baja Wellness Retreat, she holds the full arc of the retreat — the programming, the pace, the warmth, and the intention. Sarah believes deeply that investing in your wellbeing is the most important investment you will ever make.
Experience & Operations — Hotel El Ganzo
Claü is the heartbeat of El Ganzo's guest experience. As Experience & Operations Manager, she ensures that every detail of your stay — from your first moment on property to your final farewell — is held with precision and warmth. Claü's deep knowledge of the hotel, its spaces, its people, and the rhythms of San José del Cabo means that your experience is genuinely curated, not simply coordinated. She is your on-the-ground partner throughout the retreat.
Culinary Curator — Hotel El Ganzo
José Luis brings the flavours of Baja California to life across every meal of the retreat. As Culinary Curator at El Ganzo, his philosophy is rooted in the land, the sea, and the rich culinary traditions of Mexico — elevated through technique and intention. Each breakfast and dinner during the retreat is thoughtfully designed to nourish, delight, and connect you to where you are. Food, in his hands, is never incidental — it is part of the experience itself.
Director — La Playa Centro Comunitario
Pamela leads La Playa Centro Comunitario, a beloved community hub in San José del Cabo that bridges local culture with visitors who are ready to truly experience Baja. Under her direction, our Wednesday hands-on locally curated workshop becomes something far deeper than a lesson — it is an invitation into the community, the culture, and the traditions of the people who call this place home. All proceeds go directly back to La Playa, supporting the programs and people Pamela's team serves every day.
Sound Healing & Cacao Ceremony
Mariana and Ricardo are the curators of two of the retreat's most deeply felt experiences. Their sound healing journey weaves together the resonance of handpan, crystal singing bowls, and Tibetan singing bowls into a profoundly restorative sonic landscape — one that works on the nervous system as much as the soul. Their cacao ceremony draws on ancient Mexican roots, using ceremonial cacao as a sacred heart-opener to guide guests through a ritual of release, presence, and expanded awareness. In their hands, these are not performances — they are invitations.
Expert Guide — Ayurveda & Yogic Philosophy
At the heart of Prakash Chegu's teachings lies a vision of inner transformation, healing, and awakening. With over two decades of teaching and more than 40 years of personal yogic practice, Prakash brings a unique blend of ancient wisdom and modern understanding to every class, course, and retreat. His Ayurveda workshop on Thursday is an invitation to discover the timeless principles that govern health, balance, and vitality — and to carry them home with you.
Space Holder & Expert Guide
We are curating with great intention — bringing in someone whose depth of knowledge, lived experience, and presence will enrich the retreat in a meaningful way. Their area of expertise aligns deeply with the spirit of what we are creating together. More will be revealed well in advance of the retreat.
Onsite Content Creator
A gifted visual storyteller will be joining us onsite to document the retreat experience — the quiet moments, the golden light, the collective energy of a group of people choosing themselves. Their lens will move through the retreat unobtrusively, capturing what unfolds naturally — a living record of something worth remembering. More to come.
Travel & Safety
We are aware that recent media coverage has raised questions about travel to Mexico. We want to address this directly, clearly, and without drama.
San José del Cabo is a well-established international travel destination with a long track record of welcoming visitors safely. It sits within Los Cabos — one of Mexico's most visited regions — and operates with a level of infrastructure, security, and hospitality that reflects that standing. The area served by Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) has consistently maintained a distinct profile from regions that have received elevated travel advisories.
We are in ongoing communication with Hotel El Ganzo and remain closely informed on the ground. At this time, official travel advisories for the Los Cabos region have not changed. We are monitoring the situation and will communicate proactively with all registered guests if anything shifts that warrants attention.
We planned this retreat in this location intentionally — and we stand behind that decision. If you have questions or would like to speak with us directly, please reach out at bajawellnessretreat@gmail.com.
